The Girls And Women Of Tigray Need Help.

In 2021, Our Chef-Owner Tigist Reda launched a nonprofit program that uses her passion for culture, cuisine, and hospitality to help support Hope 4 Tigray Women. The initiative mobilizes culinary events across Chicagoland where 100% of proceeds go to Health Professionals for Tigray.

This humanitarian, non-profit organization was established in 2020 in light of the recent crisis in Tigray. The network made up of healthcare and other professionals in the diaspora tremendously impact lives. Demera’s goal now is to raise $200,000 to continue to help with health care needs as well as support our women getting their lives back through small businesses through our fall gala event serving the women and girls impacted by this war.

It is through the generosity of the individuals like you, sponsorships, and volunteers across the community, that we can reach this goal. Every dollar counts, and our quest to help our women of Tigray continues. The humanitarian crisis is not over. Every minute of service counts. No amount is too small and all volunteers are gifts. Please join us on this life-saving mission!

TIGRAY IS IN CRISIS.

War and atrocious crimes have had debilitating impacts, especially on the women and girls of Tigray. Rape and Sexual violence has been used as a weapon of war to inflict lasting physical and psychological damage on women and girls in Tigray. Their suffering is indescribable.

Health systems have been disrupted and hospitals have been looted of life-sustaining equipment and medications. Starvation is rampant and civilians are left without basic medical care or running ambulances.

Critical life-saving supplies are running dangerously low in some facilities and are completely nonexistent in others. Most media outlets have been shut out of the region, which makes it difficult to increase awareness of these crimes across the globe. Join us as we partner with HPN4 Tigray to save lives.
